From Individual Client Work to Group Practice: Graduation of the 7th and 8th Cohorts of the International-Level Group Coach Course
The 7th and 8th cohorts of the International-Level Group Coach course at COACHING.UP have completed their training. The graduates have finished a specialization focused on working with groups ranging from three participants to large audiences in accordance with ICF professional standards.
Group coaching requires a coach to hold several levels of the process in focus at the same time. Each session includes individual reactions, interaction between participants, the overall group dynamic and a shared request. The coach learns to notice these processes, maintain the direction of the session and create conditions in which every participant can remain involved.
About the International-Level Group Coach Course
The program includes 40 hours of training and is designed for coaches who want to develop a professional specialization in group coaching and confidently facilitate sessions for different types of audiences.
During the course, participants explored the structure of a group coaching session, learned to recognize key coaching competencies in a group format and developed their supervision practice. A significant part of the training was dedicated to practical work, where professional decisions could be tested in real interactions and later analyzed with greater precision.
Group dynamics became one of the central areas of the program. The graduates learned to observe how participation changes during a session, how interaction develops within a group and what helps maintain engagement when several people are involved in the process at once.
The course also covered the professional and business side of group coaching. Participants explored how to develop long-term contracts after group sessions, present their coaching services and prepare cases for assessment. This helps connect coaching competence with the ability to build and expand a sustainable professional practice.
The specialization is relevant both for coaches at the beginning of their careers and for experienced practitioners who want to add group formats to their work. The acquired experience can be applied when working with professional communities, business audiences, large groups and other environments where coaching becomes part of a shared development process.
