Case of the Winner Olena Konoplia in the 'Career Breakthrough' Category

Olena Konoplia COACHING.UP Coaching

Congratulations to Olena Konoplia on winning second place in the “Career Breakthrough” category of the COACHING.UP case competition!

We are sharing an incredible story that left no jury member indifferent.

Before coaching: Math tutor + teaching teachers how to sell their services through Instagram

Now: I have my own business: "Tutoring Center," I manage it myself and no longer conduct lessons. I already have nearly 300 hours of individual coaching sessions with clients and almost 50 hours of group work.

Why did you choose coaching, and what were your expectations?

When I started working with teachers, providing consultations and mentorship on Instagram promotion and self-development as tutors, I noticed many fears, biases, limiting beliefs, and tunnel thinking—things that hold teachers back from their potential. I needed tools to help change their mindset. That’s why I chose coaching.

Key moments in learning:

Amazing mentors and supervisors—I constantly felt supported and guided along the way. Incredible connections. A lot of practice. Well-organized process. On the second training lecture, I volunteered as a client for a demo session with Olga Dubova. And that was my turning point! I started that session by saying: "For over three years, I’ve wanted a tutoring center, but I’ve done nothing to make it happen!" The process was set in motion. Now, I already have seven employees!

How has coaching impacted my personal and professional life?

Radically. I have a new profession that I love. I have my own business. I am surrounded by wonderful new people. I have become a speaker at offline coaching training events for women.

The most important lesson or advice for future coaches:

When studying, find a coach for yourself right away and experience a coaching contract from the client’s perspective. Don’t rush—if something isn’t clear at the beginning, mentoring sessions will help you see your growth. Be active in your learning.

Plans for the future:

500 hours of coaching, passing the certification exam for the PCC ICF level, a mentor course, and teaching coaching.

COACHING.UP, I am incredibly grateful to you for all my transformations, for my new profession, and for all the wonderful people working in your team! I will continue learning with you! More to come!
